TRN V80: V is for Voracious Bass

Image
All right mates, Once again, I do another recap review on the IEMs that I've previously owned within a span of 4 years. Let's talk about TRN V80. TRN V80 was a 2018 flagship IEM from TRN Audio,They were a very popular IEM model especially In local audiophile scene here for having a good build quality metal housing and competitive at cheap price price at $ 40 - 45 . TRN V80 is a 2 balanced  armature and 2 dynamic driver set-up.It has a U-shaped (V-shaped to some)sound signature. More emphasis on bass and treble elevation, linear mids in audio frequency. It has a  good built quality as I mention as its shell material is made up of aluminium. Its aesthetics is somewhat similar in appearance to Dunu's Falcon C that also offers better fitting on ears at comfortable level. Now lets go on to its sound quality. The LOWS/ BASS is the strongest point of this IEM,It is very punchy and dynamic. You will really feel the rumble of the sub bass,it really digs deep on to it

TRN IM1 (Original): Reminiscing A Kvlt IEM.

Image
Hello and welcome to another recap review of one of my previous collection,The TRN IM1 Original. One of best matured U/V-shape tuning on its price.TRN IM1 is one of my longest serving daily drivers, I'm using it for over 2 years as it very versatile to all genres that I'm listening too.It is has set up of 1 Dynamic Driver (8mm driver) and 1 BA(possibly a customised 30095 by TRN).Its UIEM style shell is made resin on base part and metal faceplate with embedded TRN logo, which has a striking resemblance of more expensive IEM from TFZ, The Secret Garden which is over $100 .it is actually has a good built (Note: I have encounter some QC issue on the peeling of protective resin shell in the metal faceplate then metal face plate itself that really looks like a guitar pick after 2 years due to soften up the adhesives, possibly a climate and body acidity factor.)Its comfort and fitting in my ear is actually great. It really snuggly fit and sits well in my ears due to its UIEM d

TRN V30: Wide Soundstage With Reasonable Price.

Good day, mates. Once again, another recap product review from TRN Audio, The TRN V30.This IEM is one of my top recommendations for starters in audio enthusiasm after TRN IM1 original variant and I even prefer this one over TRN V80.TRN V30 is a 2BA and 1 DD set up, it has smoky color transparent "resin" shell that really looks similar to KZ AS06.As for its sound signature it has u-shape tuning that is quite versatile to all genres that I listen to them from Rock to Classical. The LOWS/BASS  of this IEM is very punchy one with good sub bass extension, it has a slight bump on the mid bass that you will a textured sounding on kick drums and bass guitar as you expected from a dynamic driver but at least there is almost no bass bleed or absent on mids frequency. The MIDS  is a bit recessed on this one with a little bit weird some boosts and lift with its range,Suprising the vocals are quite forward on the mix especially on with higher vocal range like Mariah Carey, Cel

TRN IM2: Bassist's Favour

Image
What's up mates, I will have a recap review on TRN IM2.I bought this IEM last year as I collected TRN IEMs for my audio pleasure. As expected this has a V-shaped tuning, which is really good for modern genre like EDM, Rock and Pop. Lets talk about the LOWS/BASS ,This is quite overpowering in my hearing perception,The sub bass has good deep extension,The rumble that Bassheads that are looking for,The midbass is elevated but it doesn't bleed on mids. You will feel the intensity and the voracious drum kicks but the real star of this one was the Bass guitar, you will feel its detail and realistic plucking, slapping and fretting (even a fretless) reverb and timbre. MIDS  are recessed on this one, both female and male vox are neither laidback nor forward, The instruments has good separation and good detail. HIGHS/TREBLE  is smoothen out, not a bright one and lack of sparkle with average extension which translate less airy.Cymbals and chimes sounds bland that I wish for

BQEYZ KC2: Indeed a Hidden Gem

Image
This IEM is indeed a hidden gem from 2018,a superbly tuned masterpiece for audio enthusiasts out there. A balanced sounding as most online reviewers describe its sound signature,I can say it as a "balanced to neutralish" in my hearing perception.A tight BASS  ,Clean presentation on MIDS ,separation of instruments has a good spacing, vocals are both natural and well-textured in both male and female.not an even a hint of sibilance. The TREBLE is slightly elevated as it crisp and well-details on brilliance region that gives airyness yet it doesn't sound strident or harsh. The micro-details were delineated. The cymbals sounds natural and doesn't sound splashy as most treble leaning (bright) and V shaped IEMs are susceptible in this kind of characteristic. IMAGING  is one of the strength of this one for pinpointing accurately the positionings of instruments and the SOUNDSTAGE  is wide and spacious and the depth is just average(wishing for more depth.)
