TRN V30: Wide Soundstage With Reasonable Price.
Good day, mates. Once again, another recap product review from TRN Audio, The TRN V30.This IEM is one of my top recommendations for starters in audio enthusiasm after TRN IM1 original variant and I even prefer this one over TRN V80.TRN V30 is a 2BA and 1 DD set up, it has smoky color transparent "resin" shell that really looks similar to KZ AS06.As for its sound signature it has u-shape tuning that is quite versatile to all genres that I listen to them from Rock to Classical.
The LOWS/BASS of this IEM is very punchy one with good sub bass extension, it has a slight bump on the mid bass that you will a textured sounding on kick drums and bass guitar as you expected from a dynamic driver but at least there is almost no bass bleed or absent on mids frequency.
The MIDS is a bit recessed on this one with a little bit weird some boosts and lift with its range,Suprising the vocals are quite forward on the mix especially on with higher vocal range like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Tarja Turunen, Prince, Freddie Mercury and Adele but quite skeptical on most male vocals who are less engaging and a bit hollow, Barry White's unique baritone voice sounds lacking a warm and detail.Rhythm guitars are just less appealing to conceive it as a authentic sounding. The separation of instruments are alright, nothing to be brag about it.
TREBLE frequency is the part where I'm very critical about it,It is still shimmer and clarity and but too fast roll-off doesn't give any realistic sound on cymbals, xylophones and chimes, sounds dull distant due to lack of airiness on brilliance region.
SOUNDSTAGE is the strongest point of this IEM,it has really damn good wide soundstage with good depth, IMAGING is good enough but I just observe that some busy and complex tracks will sounds confusing and topsy turvy as fuck.speedy metal tracks and bass drum lines are prime examples of it.
My last thoughts on TRN V30 is that it is still a competent sounding IEM but it has some caveats and comprises on my hearing perception as I want a bright,clarity,well-extended airy treble.
