KIWI EARS CADENZA II: Carving A New Identity From Its Antecedent

Image
My first introduction of   KIWI EARS   product was the original   Cadenza   back in 2022, and at that time, the Harman target curve was the most prevalent tuning at that time in which this model followed but it has some slight tweaks on it. And now after four years, they finally release a successor model in which the star of this product review article. What we have here is KIWI EARS' latest entry-level model, The   KIWIEARS Cadenza II   and compared to its preceding model, it has some noticeable changes like the shells and the driver that they implemented as this type of transducer also evolving as new materials were integrated to improve its overall performance. The Cadenza II still showcases a single driver configuration in which the original Cadenza also has on it inside its earpiece. The Cadenza II features a 10mm dynamic driver just like its predecessor, but it uses a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) diaphragm with a titanium coating as...

HIDIZS MY LIN: Expressive Sound As It Is

Image
I have this upcoming unit from  HIDIZS  which I received a few weeks ago, and now I finally have time to unbox this one. I actually tested this particular model last year and it was in a prototype stage that I’ve tried before and HIDIZS took some feedback from its testers around the world in which certain frequency sections should be adjusted to achieve its cohesiveness and refine its overall tuning. This is  HIDIZS MY LIN , and it is their latest entry-level model that was marketed as a  special edition and it somehow follows the  MS2 PRO  design language but with slight variation and also its transducer set-up. Like the MS2 PRO, its driver configuration is consisting of a dynamic driver responsible for bass and midrange, and a balanced armature driver that solely handles the treble part in which the former has a dual-cavity structure with strong dual-magnetic circuitry in a diameter size of 10.2mm with a composite diaphragm composed of two types of polyme...

TIPSY AUDIO M3: Formidable Technical Performer

Image
As I’ve started to review IEMs for the last few weeks and all of them are single driver set-up on either dynamic driver or planar magnetic drivers that somehow give me a bit of a burn-out as I was overwhelmed with review units that keep stacking that a majority of them have similar configuration.  And it seems that I felt refreshed right now as I finally reviewed a unit with a hybrid driver configuration and this is actually my favourite driver set-up on a IEM earphone. Before I review the IEM model, I should introduce the audio company that produces this exquisite earphone set,  TIPSY AUDIO . This audio company was established around 2016 that makes this company a decade-old, and it was founded by an experienced recording audio engineer, Mr.  Masan Lee's  main goal is to recreate the studio-grade sound quality from a concert hall in Shenzhen. This audio company also has some portfolio of patented acoustic technologies under its belt and their core mission is to...
