Dragonflies are small flying predatory insects that dwell on grasslands and wetlands that are usually situated in tropical regions. They are known for their slim and elongated profile, unusually large compound eyes,with two pairs of veined transparent wings and 3 pairs of legs that aren't capable of walking but rather were used for holding on to their prey. These creatures became a fascination to humans as they are illustrated on some artefacts such as vase, pottery and statues. While dragonflies were viewed as an ominous and menacing presence in some European folk tales, however it was viewed positively in the Northeast Asian cultures as it is a symbol of strength, resoluteness and happiness.
