CCA TRIO: Three Makes it Even Better

Image
The audio company,  CCA (Clear Concept Audio)  for me is somewhat of a refined version of its older sister,  KZ (Knowledge Zenith)  on how it tuned their products. The  CCA Duo  is still one of my favourite dual dynamic sets out there as I really enjoy using it occasionally in my casual listening session and it became part of my rotational set in a month. And now what we have here is its successor model, The  CCA TRIO . The  CCA TRIO  is definitely an upgrade over the  DUO  in terms of features as it has an additional driver and tuning switches. It uses a slightly larger dynamic driver compared to the  DUO  as it has an 8mm compared to previous 7mm and it was slightly modified to have a more cohesive presentation of all parts of the frequency range while maintaining a less distorted and interference-free sound quality. Its three dynamic drivers were assigned in some certain part of a frequency range as the two dynamic driv...

YANYIN CANON II: Excellently Balanced

Image
Canon has many definitions, it coul mean the authentic work of a writer, a body of standards and principles or in fanfiction, a set of events that are accepted by a fan based and/or from the official author to have actually occured on the narrative of the story, In this sense, the name of the earphones suggest a sense of authenticity in the sound it produces. But the actual inspiration of the naming scheme, according to  YANYIN , was the particular term in music theory that for a piece of a musical composition relying on counterpart techniques where a melody was followed by a series of mirror notes of the exact melody played after specific time intervals. Classical composers like Franz Hayden, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johann Pachelbel and Johann Sebastian Bach, all had their own styles of canon composition that really defines the musical structure up to this day. YANYIN TECHNOLOGY CO. LTD  is one of the newcomer audio companies that really took a storm in the portable audio scene...

KIWI EARS QUARTET: Four Sonic Profiles from Quad Drivers

Image
Quartet is a group or composition of instrumentalists or singers consisting of four people. Most jazz band ensembles, modern pop groups and rock bands are of four piece line-up. This is my second product review for  Kiwi Ears , I did a review on their first entry level one, the  Cadenza . It seems that  Kiwi Ears  naming conventions are based on orchestral and musical ensembles. This is  Kiwi Ears Quartet , This is  Kiwi   Ears  latest offering on their entry-level segment. It has hybrid driver set-up consisting of dual dynamic drivers in "isobaric" set-up and two balanced armature drivers. The 10mm dynamic drivers' diaphragms have titanium properties; either it is made of a wafer thin alloy or a spray-coated one which  Kiwi Ears  maintain that it will give a well-extended and rumbling sub bass which it also produces a stronger and thicker mid bass. The balanced armature drivers (probably a newer generation of Bellsing) gives cleaner, de...
