Hisenior T2 Classic: Expertly-tuned Implement for a Modest.

Greetings and welcome to my another IEM review, mates And here it is, I have a product on hand from an audio company, Hisenior.

Hisenior is an audio company from China and its specializes on designing and manufacturing of Custom In Ear Monitors for professional use and also for audiophiles. The brand name is a portmanteau of Hi-fi and Senior. And now they are now offering some UIEM options from their line-up products for more versatility and ease of use. I actually wanted to try their product and have a good communication with their manager on a social media site for I'm really interested on their product.

And now here it is, presenting the Hisenior T2 Classic.T2 Classic either a succesor of their T2U product or just a variant. It is an all- Balanced Armature driver set-up in a resin shell that was marketed as a professional tool for musicians especially for vocalist, drummer, keyboardist and guitarist to monitor the sound quality of their respective equipment.(I ain't no an instrumentalist.)

The price of this IEM is US$119.00/£87.00 and available on Hisenior's official website.

The Hisenior T2 Classic packaging is quite very simple and utilitarian as the IEMs and other accessories are cramp inside of a hard polycarbonate plastic protective square container case that is similar to a pelican case. Besides the IEMs, the said included accessories are extra silicone eartips of a standard different sizes, a pair of memory foam eartips, a decent quality 8-core OCC black cable that really looks cool and suits well on my character and a cleaning sheet. (By the way this is reviewer's tour package, the retail version has a packaging box.)

This set has a Two(2) balanced armatures which are premium ones as it was sourced from a very estimable audio solution company, Knowles. Its comes up with a jet black colour scheme with a gold cursive writing print of the word "Febos". The resin material use for its protective shell on T2 Classic is actually imported from Germany, the well-known Egger resin use for medical and industral application. For these IEMs are moulded into UIEM shell shape, they are indeed fits perfectly into my medium-size ears as its shell shape contours very well and also a lightweight one yet sturdy. Hisenior implemented a MMCX connector for this set for flexibility reasons but to be honest I prefer 2-pin connector. These are unvented IEMs that might give some unpleasant experience to some individuals due to the possible build-up of air pressure. Overall, the aesthetics are elegant and appealing to the eyes of minimalist.

The scalability regarding on powering up to drive this set is excellent as it has a low impedance rating that requires only minuscule of power from media player sources like laptops, smartphones and DAPs. Their loudness level really scales up in a few incremental volume steps.

The tonality of this IEM actually reminds me of a particular headphone that I really like before, The ATH M30x as they have both aim those emphasis on a certain parts of audio frequency range spectrum on their intended tuning. These set carrying a balanced-neutral sound signature for it has an ample boosted bass, a slight emphasis on mids and neutral and smooth highs.

Ill do the most important part of this review and it is the describing its sound characteristics of each part of its frequency range of this unit.

LOWS/BASS:

The bass has both of quantitive and qualitative points. It is punchy, precise and surely it has that slam that basshead will accept this kind of bass mark. Despite that this is handle by woofer balanced armature, its does performs well as I do hear those gruffiness and rumble that reaches decently through its depth. The midbass has a well-textured to sound it more substantial on its note weight. You will notice the authoritative sound of the bass kicks, the guttural and growling sound on every slapping, fretting and plucking of a bass guitar, and and last thing is throaty and powerful of bass-baritone vocals as how delineate they are across the sound spectrum. The transients response has an above average speed as I notice that decay rate is on more conservative moderate pace.

MIDS:

The mids here is definitely the most noticeable feature of this set as it has a good qualities of a midcentric tune IEM; clarity, resolution, lukewarm and an immaculate. I really like how the vocals (both male and female) are well-rendered, emotionally sweet and manifest its natural tone. Instruments of all types from percussive to winds ones sounds organic and life-like to be rated has a good timbre quality. The crunchiness of a acoustic guitar. The immersive resonating and reverberating crisp of every twang and plucking, the mellowness and richness sound of a  keyboard instruments like electric piano and organ,  And the penetrating and sustaining precise hits of snare drums. Mids are actually my sweet spot and I'm quite bias on them and will certainly give a high score on it.

HIGHS/TREBLE:

To be honest, there is nothing spectacular on how great the treble quality of this particular set. Surely that they have good attributes on this one like being on a neutral side, smooth and has decent detail retrieval. This is not an airy treble that trebleheads wanted on their high frequency choice as it has that lack of that harmonics quantity and sparkle that will influence its extension reach. Another good thing of this set is that absence of sibilance and harshness for the tuning of upper mids/ lower treble are well-balanced across of its frequency spectrum. The shimmer of cymbals and crashing of hi-hats are acceptable to sound natural.

SOUNDSTAGE and IMAGING:

The dimension size of soundstage is on above average, more on ceiling reach of height and distinctly on average depth. It has decent sense of spacing as the separation are apparent between the vocals and instrumentalists. As for imaging, it is quite sufficient, not the most accurate but I can still pinpoint each positioning and placement of instrument and singers in respective channel but in a broader sense.

For a conclusive statement of this review, This IEM is very a capable tool for professional and casual audiophiles alike as it perform very well. While this is not a flawless or strikingly well-tuned IEM, However it is admirably deliver a well-balanced tuning that will gain appreciation from its user as they are pleasantly sounding as they will be accustomed to be embedded in our gray matter. I am still grateful that I have a given a chance to do a review on this set.
